Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

Thursday, February 8th, 2007

WTF!

On 21st Feb., I sent this complain letter to SE HK:

I am strongly disappointed by SE HK's support on this mobile phone M600i. According to the latest information I found from the web, many countries' SE already have released a newer, if not the latest, version of firmware to fix many of the bugs for M600i. However, SE HK has *never* have any firmware updates till today and I completely lost my confidence as a customer to seek good service and support from a brand as big as Sony. IMHO, M600i is a good mobile phone but with such a crap support by SE HK, I could imagine that no more ppl like me seeking business class mobile phone will think of SE again.

And this is the 'no surprise' reply from SE HK on 22nd Feb.:

Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre. We appreciate your patience and apologise for the delay in responding to your e-mail. Answer: We are so sorry for your scenario since the release details of M600i's firmware in Hong Kong has not been confirmed yet. Should it be available for the Hong Kong market, we will inform the public immediately. Your understand is highly apprecaited! Besides, thank you for your feedback on Sony Ericsson products and services.

What can I say? This is my final reply to the above b*llsh*ts:

This reply further solidify the claims from many M600i users that SE HK is going to abandon their users who bought M600i from SE HK who originally intended to seek official support of the phone. For how many months this phone has been out and for how many times the firmware updates has already been available in other regions, such a statement of 'the release details of M600i's firmware in Hong Kong has not been confirmed yet' is a complete b*llsh*t and didn't make a customer happier but just more disappointed and departed.

On 27th Feb., the long waited firmware update for M600i Hong Kong version (R9EC001) has finally been released just a few days ago and I have updated my M600i immediately. After the update, the phone is more responsive and some annoying bugs have been fixed (though not all). I hope this is not the last version update and SE HK should learn a lesson.
